Some of my favorite evenings are spent standing in a newly finished garden with the owner, just as the sun drops and the colors start to soften. That quiet "This is exactly what I pictured" is what our Garden Design is all about.
We begin with a visit-on site if you're here, or via photos and video if you're not. I'll ask how you want the space to feel: wild and natural, neat and structured, or something in between. Are we framing a view, softening a fence line, dressing up the front entry, or building a garden you'll wander through with a cup of coffee?
From there, we put together a custom planting plan that respects our coastal conditions. That means choosing plants that can handle wind, salt, and our particular swings of temperature, so you're not watching expensive shrubs fail after one tough winter. We play with layers-trees and taller shrubs for structure, mid‑height perennials for color, low groundcovers to knit everything together, and seasonal interest so something is always happening from early spring through fall.
We also think through the practical side: irrigation access, maintenance level, paths, and mulch choices that help keep weeds down and moisture in. If we're tying into new or existing stonework, patios, or walkways, we'll design so the hardscape and garden read as one space instead of separate projects.
For off‑island owners, we can design, install, and then roll right into maintenance, sending periodic photos so you can watch the garden grow even when you're away. The result is a landscape that belongs to the property and to you-personal, inviting, and ready to mature beautifully over the years.
